1 Never smile back or response when you hear "welcome the store"
2 Do not forget hitting a music button before you pee.
3 Do not worry, just jump into washrooms when you are in rush. Gladly,Japanese people have hands to flush toilets. No doubt.
4 Do not irritate when they ask multiple questions at the same time such as "Do you have a membership card" "Do you need 2 bags for the hot and cold products" "Are you interested in being the member" and so on. also, do not feel weird why they say "Sorry" when you response "No" after these questions. Feel like takes forever.
5 Just let it go. if you purchase one thing which has with 5 layers wrapping papers or cases.
6 Do not ask them about own arrangement orders. Rules are obligations for them. They would be just confused and you won't be able to get anything. Japanese people are not flexible at all, especially at work.
7 Do not think why store clerks scream "welcome the store, Please
touch and see the products if you're interested in!" Even thought, No customers at the moments. People touch and see the products if they want anyways.
8 Highly chances, fresh green Salad has corns on the top.
9 If you got Starbucks beverages, you must drink in the stores. No "to go choice"
You can/cannot do things in Starbucks Japan.
* Booked seats are available(Awesome)
*Houji-cha lattes are amazing
*No flat white exists
*No lactose free milk exists
10 Be careful to show your alms. You should consider that your alms are skinny enough before taking off the sweaters. There is no human right for fat females -well, Japanese level of " fat " means really nothing in Canada and all over the world.
11 Do not keep Opening/grabbing doors for behind persons. Otherwise you'd be a doorman.
12 You have to be very careful about katakana pronunciations. you might say katakana words with English pronounce under consciously.
That's so gross.
13 Japanese peopel always hesitate to say No. So if they are not able to do what you ask, They tend to convince you or prepare multipul excuses or long detailed reasons why they cannot say yes or agree with you. They think the reasons or excuses have more strong impact, when these reasons are under the serious situations. Over all, sometime you can't get answer what suppose to get.
ex.
Me: Do you have the THIS size of bento box? I want in black colour tho. The sign says black colurs are available.
clerk: I afraid that the sign wasn't upload properly.I am terrible sorry about this.
Recently the RED colur that just in your hand has been so much popular and you can get 20% off right now. also this is the LAST one.
me: Okay. SO, DO YOU HAVE A BLACK COLOUR OR NOT??????
